What Happens During a Session?

A spacious, step-by-step journey through conversation, relaxation, inner exploration, and return.

A deep guided hypnotherapy and inner work session is not a rushed appointment. Please plan for several unhurried hours. The interactive time often lasts around 4 to 5 hours, and it is best to keep the rest of the day gentle whenever possible.

1. Pre-talk and interview

The session begins with conversation. This is where trust is built, expectations are clarified, and your intentions are heard. Nelson may ask about your history, what has brought you to the work, and the questions you have prepared for your Higher Self or deeper consciousness.

This part of the session helps the whole process feel safer and more personal. It also gives the deeper work a clear direction.

2. Induction

When you are ready, Nelson guides you into relaxation. This may include soft breathing, muscle relaxation, imagery, or visualizations such as walking down a staircase, floating on a cloud, or moving through a peaceful inner landscape.

The purpose is not to make you unconscious. It is to help the analytical mind settle so you can enter a calm, receptive Alpha or Theta-like state of inner focus.

3. Protective light

Many sessions include a moment of protection and grounding. You may be invited to imagine a bubble, pyramid, or field of white light around the body, creating a felt sense of mental, emotional, and physical safety.

Safety is not a decorative step. It is part of the container that lets deeper material arise gently.

4. Past-life or symbolic journey

From there, you may be guided through a gateway, doorway, path, or portal into an experience the deeper mind considers important for you to explore. Some people experience this as a past-life style scene. Others experience symbolic imagery, memory, emotion, sensation, or a story-like inner landscape.

Nelson acts like a gentle reporter, asking open-ended questions about what you notice: where you are, what the body feels like, what you are wearing, who is nearby, what is happening, and what meaning the scene may hold.

The goal is not to force interpretation. The goal is to stay with the experience long enough for the message, pattern, or healing movement to become clearer.

5. Dialogue with Higher Consciousness

After the exploration, Nelson may call forward the Subconscious, Higher Self, or Higher Consciousness: the wiser part of you that is connected to a broader field of knowing. This is often where clients seek insight, emotional release, or a deeper understanding of the questions they brought.

Your prepared questions are asked in order of importance. Questions may focus on relationships, health concerns, life direction, spiritual curiosity, repeating patterns, childhood experiences, dreams, or the meaning of what came through during the session.

6. Counting out

When the session is complete, Nelson gently guides you back to ordinary alertness through a progressive counting sequence. You are invited to return slowly, reconnect with the body, and take a moment before sitting up.

Online sessions

Online sessions follow the same structure as in-person sessions. You will need a quiet private space, a stable internet connection, and headphones with a microphone so Nelson can hear you clearly, even if your voice becomes soft during trance.

  • Use Google Meet or Zoom from a comfortable place where you can lie down.
  • Position the camera so your face and upper body remain visible.
  • Silence notifications and arrange not to be interrupted.
  • Keep water nearby and use the bathroom before beginning.
  • If the connection drops, stay calm. You may drift, rest, or naturally return while the call reconnects.

After the session

Most people need a little time to reorient afterward. Eat something grounding, drink water, write down what you remember, and avoid rushing into demanding tasks. The work may continue to unfold through dreams, insights, emotions, and synchronicities in the days and weeks that follow.
